Iselle was downgraded to a tropical storm shortly before it made landfall on the southeaster shore of the island and crossing to the northwest, so the record of no hurricane hitting the island still stands.
We did not sustain any damage--there was just a lot of leaf litter scattered about.
A tree was blown down in the adjacent pasture.
In other areas of the island, however, many trees were blown down onto power lines and roads, completely cutting off some areas.
Our neighborhood lost power for three days, but some areas were out for up to three weeks.
