This is the first bath of the pine ceiling boards moved onto the lanai so I can get started on the next batch

 

Dywall Mudding Nearly Done & Exterior Painting

The drywall mudding is nearly done and all the windows, exposed beams, and doorways are masked so the primer can be sprayed on the walls.

Master bath. The areas of the walls that are still exposed will be covered with cement board (for waterproofing), and installing that is the tiler's job,not the drywall installer's.

While this work has been going on inside the house, I've been working on the exterior--painting the siding.

I've also been working on the pine tongue and groove boards for the breezeway and lanai ceilings. Each board has to be lightly sanded and stained and then two or better three coats of finish on the front and a couple of coats (to reduce the possibility of mold) on the back. This is the first of several batches ...

 While the drywall work is being done, I've been working outside finishing these pine, tongue-and0-groove boards that will be used for the ceilings over the breezeways and the overhanging portion of the front lanais. I have about 170 total to do...

Wood Finishing

I've been working on finishing various wood portions of the house.

The back lanai after cleaning and putting on another coat of finish

The drywall installer has been finishing another job, so I used the time to stain the exposed beams.

First Day of Drywall

The drywall installer began working in the master suite and made good progress for one day.

     The floor on the back lanai was also finished today.

Today, we also received delivery of the kitchen and laundry room cabinets, but it's going to be a few weeks before we're ready to install them, so for now, they'll be stored under the canopy.
