Swallowtail caterpillar

I noticed that something was eating some of the leaves of the lime tree, and after a little searching I found this caterpillar hiding on one of the stems.

It's an Asian swallowtail (papilio xuthus), common in Asia, but in North America, found only on Hawaii.  Their diet is mainly citrus trees.  I haven't seen any of the butterflies, but they must be around.

It has some interesting markings on its head.
Since it wasn't eating very much, I decided to leave it, but the next day, I couldn't find it.  A chicken or some other bird probably got it.
